This wallet belongs to Mrs Bi's dad apparently it's older than her...shes 23 ( I'm sure she won't mind me telling you that :)). The thing was that he couldn't bare to part with it, in fact Mrs Bi's brothers even bought him a brand spanking new designer one which he refused... Mrs Bi asked me if I could do anything with it. When I first saw it it was falling apart, it had holes in it, the lining was almost none existent, the zip was broken etc etc...I think you get the idea... My initial impression was to take it all apart and start from scratch, I mean the structure of it was very simple I could easily have put it back together, However I did have my reservations, I mean what if I ripped it or I didn't put it together right, that's 23 years (at least) of memories down the drain... However I was adamant that I would be able to put it together again and my faith in my sewing skills over rode the niggling feeling at the back of my head, and for once that niggling feeling didn't come back to haunt me (yay!). That's right nothing went wrong, I added a new lining plus abit of interlining to pad it out a bit, a new zip, some interfacing in the photo pocket and some careful trimming and repositioning later it looked like a vintage wallet :)
